Because Dali is so modern nowadays and many artists draw inspiration from him, why not consider him a source of inspiration for photographers, especially for those that process heavily their photos in Photoshop. This is if speaking at a superficial level, because if we look at his works from a larger point of view, undoubtedly he is a genius of composition, color and idea.
Just out of curriosity I wanted to find out Dali’s full name, it’s Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, 1st Marquis of Púbol, a pretty powerful name, huh ?
Dali had a slight connection with photography, just as he did with sculpture. However he left an interesting essay “Photography, Pure Creation of The Mind“, just as interesting as his works.
Let’s get to some work of Dali’s. Pay attention to the composition and the message, because the most of the rules used here are applied in photography too. I’ll post later an article on rules of composition, stay focused.
